Specific resources for felons getting lives back together?

I am a felon fresh out of prison and do not want to go back to crime. How can I get my life back together when I cant find a job and living in a halfway house? I just need a chance. I do not want to live like I used to. Anyone have any REAL resources or links to help me? Thanks

I think one thing you can do is called the Public Defender Office and find out if someone there has a list of resources for you. They probably know a program or two you can go to that will assist you.
